Signs of Meth Use
Methamphetamine abuse or meth addiction is a dangerous problem in the United States. More than 14.7 million people have tried it, and almost 100,000 are currently battling meth addiction. Meth is one of the most commonly abused drugs in the world, especially in the American midwest. Then when you remove the flame from the glass, it will crack back within seconds, almost immediately. Decent quality meth will crack back in about 4-8 seconds. Cut up meth takes about 7-15 seconds and beyond thatugh.Drawback Test. (for IV users) If you prefer to bang your meth, here’s a pretty simple test for you.
When it comes to the signs of meth use, there are specific red flags that will be noticeable from the very first time someone tries the drug. Not every user will display every one of these signs of meth use. It should also be noted that other illicit drugs may cause similar signs.
Early Signs of Meth Use
Secondly the crystalls look a little too shiny, they look very good but meth crystals have just a bit of dullness to them when it is dried and is sparkling but not dazzeling like MSM I Agree to an extent refer to 19-1 12. The MSM cracks back when heated in a glass chamber very rapidly it seems, where as meth is oftem a puddle for a longer. Good dope tends to crack back quickly, in which you may here that certain batch called ‘Snapback’ or ‘crackleback’. Connoisseurs of meth smoking tend to be very aware of the speed and consistency of the different crack back patters that form. Many consider the ‘Spiderweb’ and ‘Feather’ pattern to indicate a potent batch.
- Euphoric 'high' state (excessively happy)
- Paranoia
- Decreased appetite
- Increased physical activity. Obsessive, fidgety behavior. As a stimulant, one of the signs of meth use is that it causes users to suddenly start exhibiting behavior more commonly associated with people who suffer from OCD (like compulsive hand-washing, cleaning). Sometimes a meth user will repeatedly perform the same task over and over again
- Anxiety, shaking hands, nervousness
- Incessant talking. Loquaciousness. A meth user often engages in constant, rambling conversation
- Rapid eye movement
- Increased body temperature (can rise as high as 108 degrees and cause death)
- Dilated pupils
- Sweating not related to physical activity
Continued Signs of Meth Use:
The above symptoms, plus:
- Weight loss. Tragically, the goal of weight loss has actually motivated people to start using meth. But extended meth use can cause severe and unhealthy weight loss. The drug that many take in order to look more attractive ultimately leads to physical degeneration that is sometimes unbearable to witness
- Strong body odor
- Shadows under the eyes
- Dry or itchy skin
- Pale complexion
- Acne/Acne-type sores
- Irritable and moody (mood swings)
- Picking at skin or hair. Another one of the signs of meth use include skin lesions and frequent sores that take a long time to heal. Not only does meth naturally inhibit the body's ability to fight off minor infection, but it can also cause meth addicts to nervously pick at their skin until it bleeds. Chronic meth users often suffer from the hallucination that they have insects crawling beneath their flesh
- Aggressive or violent behavior
- Depression (withdrawal/tolerance effect). During withdrawal stages, meth addicts often suffer from depression that remains until their next fix
- Severe nail biting
- Nose bleeds, nasal perforations
- Dermatitis around the mouth
- Lack of personal hygiene
- Wakefulness that lasts for days, or perhaps more than a week. If your neighbor, roommate, or family member doesn't sleep for days, during which time you observe the kind of nervous, high-energy behavior described above, there's a distinct possibility that meth abuse is the cause. Meth abuse often manifests itself in waves of 'tweaking,' in which an user will take repeated doses of meth, foregoing sleep for days at a time
Advanced Signs of Meth Use:
The above symptoms, plus:
- Extreme weight loss
- Hair loss
- Discolored, rotten or missing teeth. Tooth decay (commonly referred to as 'meth mouth'). Meth abuse over a period of time causes nervous tooth grinding, saliva deficiency, and extreme lapses in hygiene. The result is dramatic tooth decay
- Corneal ulcerations
- Severe mental illness symptoms, similar to schizophrenia (including anger, panic, paranoia, auditory and visual hallucinations, repetitive behavior patterns)
- Absence from work or daily routine. The inevitable crash follows this kind of tweaking. Users will often sleep for long periods of time, their body drained of energy
New 1g of the best methamphetamine I’ve ever had the pleasure of coming across.
The crystals are beautiful and translucent. They are relatively clear and are not cloudy. The crystals break down just as pure methamphetamine should as MSM (Methylsulfonylmethane) and isopropylbenzylamine noticeably change how brittle they are.
Meth Crack Back Patterns
The quality is top notch, melting point analysis showed absolutely no residue. I vaporized 30mg from a recently constructed lightbulb vape and found the vapor to be very smooth. Pure methamphetamine “cracksback” after it is liquefied by heat. When the heat source is removed, the puddle recrystallizes with an audible cracking sound. The pattern looks like bird feathers. This methamphetamine cracks back instantly, failure to crackback or a large delay indicates impure product.
No MSM is present in this methamphetamine (it sublimates around 250 degrees, while methamphetamine has a higher vaporization temperature). One of the signs of methamphetamine cut with MSM is how thickly it coats the pipe after only two or so uses. The entire pipe will be coated white inside. The vapor will also be somewhat cool feeling, like a hint of menthol.
Many users do not inhale the first hit of meth when they begin to vaporize it. It’s a feeble attempt to sublime the MSM out before smoking, but I doubt it does much at an uncontrolled temperature that is not uniformly distributed. A reliable heating device like an oven could be used to remove some MSM in theory (250 degrees F off the top of my head, but don’t quote me on that).
A much more sinister cut is that of isopropylbenzylamine. It is a structural isomer of methamphetamine and has a very similar melting point which differs as little as 5 degrees. It cocrystallizes with methamphetamine and has an identical weight. Unlike MSM, it is nearly impossible to purify the adulterant from meth. Bleach can be used as an indicator to hint at the presence of the compound. If a shard of methamphetamine placed in the bleach solution releases an oil, a cut is present although it is not possible to pinpoint the exact one. Compounds related to isopropylbenzylamine are also used as cutting agents such as methylbenzylamine and ethylbenzylamine. All cocrystallize, have similar melting points, and have the same appearance as methamphetamine.
As a warning, isopropylbenzylamine ingested regularly over time will cause methmoglobinemia. Symptoms include shortness of breath, discolored skin, headaches, fatigue, and loss of consciousness. Severe cases result in comas, seizures, and death. I can only assume the related compounds methyl- and ethyl- benzylamine carry some of those risks.
Please be extremely careful if you choose to partake in methamphetamine. There are many nasty cuts and adulterants which are serious risks. It is not worth maiming or killing yourself chasing a high if you don’t know what you are doing.
